FOR A NEW PERSPECTIVE

for one this fall. You think they're people just like you.

You're wrong. Dead wrong.”

A NEW PERSEPCTIVE

Welcome!

My name is Ayden Schwier, the artist behind Cable 54 Studio. I create mixed media art, but focus mostly on stained glass. I love working with color and pulling inspiration from some of my favorite films. The name was inspire by one of my favorite movies, They Live. It is a cheesy 80’s film with one-liners for days that actually takes a very serious look at the issues we have with consumerism in America. The main character finds a pair of sunglasses that, when worn, show aliens disguising themselves in plain site! The glasses offer him a “new perspective” on reality, which is what art should do!. The news station in the movie was named Cable 54, a nod to Studio 52 at the time. Thus, Cable 54 Studio was born!

You see them on the street. You watch them on TV. You might even vote for one this fall. You think they're people just like you. You're wrong. Dead wrong.

Glass holds so much symbolism, in it of itself. It is fragile, yet when broken apart it can be used to create even stronger glass. Glass is transparent, visible, honest. It begs you to err on the side of caution. Be gentle… take a look.
